Dr. Dat Vu
Dr. Dat Vu is a highly accomplished dentist known for his diverse educational background, deep compassion, and unwavering commitment to providing excellent care. He has an interesting journey—born in a refugee camp in Hong Kong, Dr. Vu spent the first eight years there before returning to Vietnam. At the age of 24, he came to the United States.
Before becoming a dentist, Dr. Vu earned a Law degree in International Law in Vietnam. He later found his passion for dentistry. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, College of Dentistry.
Besides private practice, Dr. Vu stays active in organized dentistry. He has served on the Executive Board of the Montgomery-Bucks Dental Society and is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Pennsylvania Dental Association’s Leadership Academy, and the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), where he is a proud Fellow. He is also a Scholar of the Dawson Academy. Dr. Vu is strongly dedicated to continuing education—he completed the educational requirements for his AGD Fellowship in just two years and has advanced training in occlusion, TMJD, airway, oral surgery, and implant dentistry.
Dr. Vu made giving back to the community his mission. For the past eight years, he has volunteered with the Mission of Mercy of Oklahoma and Pennsylvania and continues to serve patients in need at HealthLink Dental Clinic in Hatboro. He also participates in international dental mission trips, providing care to underserved communities around the world.
Dr. Vu is known for his approachable style. Patients often find themselves on a first-name basis with him, as he prefers to be called “Dat” instead of “Doctor Vu.” He strives to create a judgement-free and deep empathy environment, where patients feel truly heard, respected, and cared for.
Dr. Vu currently resides in Newtown with his wife and young son, Ethan. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, home improvement projects, watching soccer, attending church, and traveling for great foods.
